“ My sister, nephew and I had brunch at Atlantis' Toucan Charlie's Buffet in celebration of my sister's birthday. When we arrived at the restaurant entrance, there was a good amount of people in line, waiting to pay and enter the buffet. The buffet employees were pleasant enough, from the cashiers, hostess, busperson and our server person, Raul. The buffet had a varied amount of hot and cold entrees, a variety of American, Latin, Asian cuisines and everything in between: soups, salads, hors d'oeuvres, and desserts. The carving station had samples of prime rib, turkey, sausage and candied pork belly; a feast for your eyes and your belly. ”

“ The staff at the buffet really needs a shout out. They were so welcoming and their attitudes were high spirited despite the chaos! We booked a reservation at 11:30 AM for Sunday Brunch. When you enter there are 3 lines. I believe the first one is for Members, the second is reservations and another tier of members, and the third is walk in. When we entered they were all muddled together, however this was due to the public not following the signs. We were a little confused where to go and waiting in the crowd was causing us to run late for our reservation. I asked a very nice woman at the entrance of the buffet and she let me know to stay in the 2nd line. She then came out to help redirect people to the correct lines, which actually got us front since I asked her originally and stayed in the correct line with her guidance! Now right before we reached the front desk there was a man and woman (together) in front of us. The woman was very rude to one of the staff and loudly complaining about the wait time, another staff member called us up and we let her know of our reservation. Staff immediately got us all set and we paid. Now, that woman from earlier was furious, glared at us and said, "How is it fair! They get to go when we've been here the whole time!?" It made us really uncomfortable, we didn't even know this woman or speak a word to her! But the staff reminded her respectfully that reservations come first and she led us to our table, at a booth no less ! I'm so glad the staff stood up for us, it was awkward having to hear such negativity and all of a sudden have it directed at us! It would have definitely changed the tune of our experience if staff gave into the verbally abusive woman and put her before us! Now in terms of the food, there is a huge variety, soups, salads, meat, chicken, fish, crab/shrimp (steamed warm and cold), oysters, fruit, bread, and an assortment of desserts! The only reason this is getting a 4 is due to the red meats and turkey being overly salty and dry. We did see a few flies buzzing around, however it is a casino (it did not smell of smoke inside which is a plus!). Everything else was tasty and the cooks are very polite and ready to assist in serving your portions. The bussers were fast and efficient, they do ask to make sure you are done before taking the whole plate which I do really appreciate The staff deserves so much respect. Just goes to show being kind and polite can get you far, and we HIGHLY recommend you make a reservation online (it's so easy and took less than a minute) ”

“ A big variety of food. I tried the lunch buffet and it was pretty good. The prime rib was good And all the other items they had. I was impressed with the Pho area, it was pretty good as well. Loved the desserts. The staff was friendly and the waiter kept checking in on us and did a great job making sure we had all that we need and that our tables were kept clean. We were a table of 10, so he had his hands full, but did a top notch job. The place looks great, plenty of seating and has a high value look to it and I especially loved the desserts section, and all its selections. ”

“ Stopped by and wanted to try buffet since it's been awhile ... long line but pretty much cleared out within 30 minutes. Tonight was $60 per person for Seafood Champagne dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed crab legs and Pho soup (meat was thicker than usual) Luis server good - busser was overly aggressive wanting to clear utensils while we were finishing up. ”

“ The last few years we've been going to Thanksgiving dinner at Toucan Charlie's we use to go to the fancy ballroom, but find the food and service in the restaurant much better. I seriously come for the seafood, I love the steamed snow crab, salmon, clams, coconut shrimp with the spicy marmalade sauce was a nice added touch! I always book a month or so in advance to get the time I want. I like going earlier in the day not as many people! Our server was new and he was absolutely the best. He kept the champagne flowing. The desert choices are massive and the chocolate fountain is my favorite along with the gelato! If you have a players card you get $6.50 off if you're over 55. The only disappointment was it's a 2 hour limit and I felt rushed. I like it better when it was 3 hours for the price you pay for a special day, I think the time limit needs to be reevaluated. ”
